Each welder will have their own booth equipped with all necessary tools and equipment, including welding helmets. We have openings for both 1st and 2nd shifts, providing flexibility in working hours. Responsibilities • Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum bars. • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise fabrication. • Utilize flux core and fitting techniques as required. • Maintain production standards and quality of welds. • Work independently in designated welding booths. • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Essential Skills • Proficiency in MIG welding. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Experience in stainless steel and aluminum fabrication. • Capability to work overtime when necessary. Welds, cuts steel, operates grinders, drills as well as performing various other fabrication functions. This is a full-time position working 5 – ten hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Overtime is paid out after 40 hours. Position Reports To: The Director of Production and/or the Department Leader. Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Build, and fabricate beams, columns, girders, and other members to form buildings and other steel structures. • Cut, position, and weld members meeting AISC, AWS, and Briese Iron Works standards. • Operate bridge cranes to move steel and other materials around the fabrication shop. • Mark steel in accordance with AISC standards. • Read a tape measure down to 1/16” increments. • Perform other duties as assigned. Specific Skills: • Maintain a neat and organized work station. • Ability to weld using FCAW and GMAW processes. • Ability to operate an Oxy/Acetylene cutting torch. • Ability to operate a manual plasma cutter. • Promote a positive working environment to achieve company goals.
