We are offering paid housing with per diem Primary Responsibilities: Welding and Joining: • Performing welding operations to join metal components of ships, including hulls, frames, and structural parts. • Using various MIG/MAG welding methods : one side or on ceramic backings and using 135 (solid wire) or 136 (flux-cored wire) processes. Being able to weld in different positions: up-right, vertical up, horizontal or overhead. • Ensuring strong, secure welds that meet industry standards and specifications. Preparation and Setup: • Preparing materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal components. • Setting up welding equipment and selecting appropriate welding rods, wire, and gas. • Assembling and aligning parts to be welded according to blueprints and technical drawings. Quality Control: • Inspecting completed welds for quality, strength, and precision. • Conducting tests such as x-rays and ultrasonic inspections to ensure weld integrity. • Repairing and reworking defective welds to meet quality standards.
