Structural Fitter/Welders Needed MMI is an industrial contractor and steel fabricating company based in El Centro, California. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year. We are very proud of the more than 200 loyal members of our team and are looking for individuals to contribute at a very high level. MMI is looking to hire experienced fitter/welders who have at least 5 years of experience in structural steel. Fitter/welders are involved in assembling and fitting to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural steel. Must be able to pass a drug test. Pay range: $23.00 - $30.00 an hour We also offer the following benefits: • Health insurance, Dental, Vision, Life • 401K • Holiday pay • Paid time off • Profit Sharing Responsibilities for Fitter/welders: • Must be able to read, understand and interpret structural steel drawings • Communicate with Foreman and QC • Have the mathematical skills to accurately fit • Follow welding procedures • Must be certified or able to pass a weld test • Must be competent riggers able to operate heavy loads on overhead cranes • Should work systematically so QC can check jobs in a prioritized fashion • Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as needed • Strong teamwork • Have tools Fitter/welders must be physically able to: • Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs. • Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand and walk for long periods of time • Work outdoors in all weather conditions MMI has strong reason for existing. Serco is hiring Marine Welders to be part of a dynamic team supporting our US. Navy. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver quality work performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships. Serco supports our US Naval Ships with successful and safe work for our Navy customer by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Navy and the Military. You will join an active team to perform general manual labor to support this critical mission. As a Marine Welder, you will join, fabricate, and assemble various assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques and the work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations. You will also play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations, which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military. In this role, you will: • Perform recurring work independently which is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions including troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions. • Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement. • Select, set up and operate standard test equipment and record test data. • Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapt standard equipment. • Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests and drawings. • Perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plots data and draws simple curves and graphs. • Perform tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operate and adjusts simple test equipment and record test data.
