MMI is looking to hire experienced fitter/welders who have at least 5 years of experience in structural steel. Fitter/welders are involved in assembling and fitting to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural steel. Must be able to pass a drug test. See More Details >>PENDING CONTRACT AWARD Job Title: Aerospace Structural Welder Location: FRCASE El Centro, CA Task Description: AEROSPACE STRUCTURAL WELDER, BLS 51-4121, SCA 23010 Function: Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Required experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years. Of the five (5) years, the Contractor shall have a minimum of three (3) years' experience of aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment. Must have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in area of aviation and aerospace welding, and structures sheet metal and fabrication. Must follow Military Specifications 1595 in the following materials: Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Compensation $39.33/hour Other Compensation Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $7.75 for every hour paid up to 80 hours per pay period. Employees accrue bi-weekly from the first week of service 5.54 hours of PTO. KAI employees at El Centro, CA will have 11 paid holidays.
