Responsibilities: • Perform duties using GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) or GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding). • Perform welds in flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions. (Ability to perform overhead (4G) is a plus). • Read and understand shop fabrication drawings. • Read and understand the engineering details. • Ability to fabricate and assemble weldments from shop drawings and sketches. • Weldments will be in conformance with AWS D1.1 • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand, and reach repetitively. • Operate Various Equipment and Machinery (Grinders, Saws, Drill Press, Forklift, etc.) • Keep a Clean and Organized Workplace • Utilize personal protective equipment such as masks, welding helmets, welding sleeves, gloves, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. • Confidently convert fractions to decimal equivalents on the spot, as needed. • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces. Welder Fabricator / Custom Gates and Fences

LEVEL 1 | Skilled Welder with 5-10 years experience. Job Overview: We are seeking skilled Fabricators to join our team at a well-established fencing contractor. The ideal candidates will have experience in metalworking and be proficient in fabricating fencing components to exact specifications. The Fabricators will be key players in ensuring the quality and integrity of our custom fencing solutions. Responsibilities: - Read and interpret project blueprints and design diagrams to determine material requirements and fabrication instructions. -Competent ability to use and maintain tape measurer. - Measure, cut, and shape metal materials to create individual fencing components. - Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery, such as welders, cutters, benders, and grinders, to fabricate fencing parts. - Assemble components into complete sections of fencing, ensuring accuracy and quality. - Inspect fabricated components to ensure they conform to quality standards and project specifications. - Collaborate with the design and Shop Supervisor to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices. - Manage inventory of materials and supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor. - Provide input on potential improvements in fabrication processes and techniques. - To communicate all questions and any missing information directly to Supervisor. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metal fabrication is highly desirable. -Welder certification. -Team player mentality. Welder, Maintenance

Amentum is seeking a Welder, Maintenance candidate out of the Las Vegas, NV area to work independently under the general supervision of the Lead Welder and by oral and written guidelines and work orders. Receives assistance on unusual situations and occasional spot check of work for adequacy and proficiency in performing quality journeyman work. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Essential Responsibilities: • Performs journeyman welding in maintenance and repair shops on parts and bodies for mobile industrial equipment, tactical vehicles, special purpose vehicles and components, river and stream crossing equipment, generators, compressors electronic equipment, training equipment and various other metal items. • Utilizes all welding positions to weld any or all types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. • Read blueprints, sketches and modification order to plan the process and layout project to be performed in an expeditious, economical and effective manner. • Visually, or by occasionally testing, determines kind of metal and type of rod to use considering the stress and/or pressure to which the repaired item will be subjected. • Adjusts flow of gases or amperage of generator for specific job. • Uses acetylene or electric welding process applicable to accomplish flat, vertical, horizontal and overhead welding. • Does tack and bead welding and infrequently heat-treating and pressure welding. • Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes and increases size of metal parts. • Responsible for observing all current safety and fire regulations. • Successfully sets up and utilizes plasma cutting machine, air arc, heli arc and mig welding equipment. • Assists in maintaining adequate stockage of supplies. • Uses MIG, TIG, ARC welding equipment, material handling equipment. • Prepares necessary paperwork showing labor and supplies used for job order. Performs other related and/or associated duties as required. Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • High School graduate or equivalent. • Must be a certified welder. • Three years’ experience in various types of welding and the utilization of welding tools or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Must be a certified welder. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Work is generally conducted in a shop environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. Supervisory Reports to the Allied Trades Supervisor. Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to unexploded ordinance. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
