Senior Welder/Machinist - Full-time

This position is responsible for performing manufacturing duties to assemble, weld and create quality parts to support the Product Development and Special Request process. This primarily includes assembly, welding and CNC machining of parts and will progress into a lead welder position and programmer as appropriate. The duties and responsibilities are to be executed to meet the team goals, timelines, and objectives for the company. What will your duties and responsibilities be? The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties as tasks as needed and assigned. • Use knowledge of machine/welding equipment and capabilities to determine proper methods and tools to achieve the specification required • Set-up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, wire EDM and other equipment to manufacture spinal implants and/or instruments to specification and expected delivery dates • Ability to conform to ISO 13485 Documentation procedures • Troubleshoot/problem-solve any issues that arise in manufacturing or with equipment • Interpret engineering drawings, routers, and work instructions to verify conformance of welded or machined parts to specifications • Perform dimensional and visual inspections per the engineering drawing using standard measuring equipment, gages, CMM, and other inspection equipment using quality procedures and best practices • Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in welding/machining methods and in the selection of best process to meet specifications • Maintain accurate documentation for the manufacturing process as required by SOPs • Participate and take ownership in team's continuous improvement initiatives. • Train/mentor other employees on equipment operation based on level of experience. Help with troubleshooting where appropriate and as required • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition that follows prescribed safety procedures • Willingness to work overtime and a flexible work schedule to meet production demands • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, and customer service • Maintain a high level of accountability for timelines and project deliverables. • Ability to work in a professional manner with the ability to effectively interact with management and collogues at all levels within the organization • Perform other duties as assigned What skills and experience will you need? The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position. Education/Certifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Completion of weld certification Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities: • 7 plus years welding and 2 plus years previous machinist experience • Programming in G-code and prior experience in CAD/CAM software is a plus • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings • Ability to use all standard inspection tools and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages and comparators) • Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft office programs What qualifications are preferred? The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above. Welder Helper

Brief Description: The Welder Helper is responsible for assisting the Welder join or connect various types of metal parts. The incumbent will operate both hand and power tools, while working in all types of inclement weather conditions. Job tasks and assignments may vary on a daily basis.
