What You’ll Do: • MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. • Machine operation: Operate metalworking machines such as shears, presses, and grinders to shape metal parts as required. • Fabrication of metal parts: Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various hand and power tools, ensuring adherence to specifications. • Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to accurately fabricate metal parts according to the design. • Production Task Execution: Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions from the supervisor to complete production tasks accurately. • Material Handling: Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with the assistance of a crane, as required. • Weld Inspection & Finishing: Inspect welds throughout the process for quality, using grinding tools as necessary to achieve desired finishes. • Machine & Workspace Maintenance: Keep machines and work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols. • Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets predetermined tolerances and standards. • Cross-Functional Support: Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to meet production needs. What You’ll Bring: • MIG Welding Experience: Prior experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling is required. • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with grinding tools, drill presses, and ironwork is advantageous. • Communication & Documentation: Basic oral communication skills; ability to read and understand written instructions in English and complete basic logs and reports in English. • Physical Capability: Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components as required. • Attendance & Compliance: Ability to work scheduled hours and adhere to company timekeeping and all other policies. • Shift Endurance: Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment. • Mechanical Knowledge: General mechanical knowledge is beneficial. • Team Orientation: Able to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team player. • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in all tasks.
