Perform welding activities or a combination of welding and finishing activities to complete final fabrication and assembly of hollow metal frames and wood doors. Use hand-welding equipment to weld or join metal components and grinding equipment to finish. Perform other general shop tasks. • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly to obtain required configurations or positions for welding, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, clamps, tape measures and rulers.
