Adjunct Welding Instructor

About the Department Sandhills Community College seeks applications for a part-time welding instructor to instruct daytime and/or evening welding courses starting in August on the Main Campus in Pinehurst. The applicant must demonstrate mastery of current technical skills in the welding field. This position is in our Continuing Education Department and reports to the Coordinator of Advanced Manufacturing. The schedule will be based on the need of the department. Position Duties Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Primarily responsible for instructing open-enrollment and/or high school level welding course(s) • Maintaining attendance, grade, and performance records • Administering, proctoring, and providing reports on credential and non-credential examinations • Maintaining a safe and clean welding shop space • Monitoring welding supply inventory and notifying administrative staff of purchasing needs Minimum Qualifications • Two years of welding experience. • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff and students • Computer software knowledge and experience.
