Position Machine Operator Primary Duties/Responsibilities : To Perform The Job Successfully, The Individual Must Be Able To Perform Each Essential Duty Satisfactorily. Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following The Machine Operator is a skilled role that involves the manufacturing of complex solar components, working with the latest in technology solar module manufacturing tools in a clean, class A facility. Successful candidates will participate in a self-directed team environment to identify and implement process improvement opportunities resulting in improved quality and product flow. Knowledge/Skills • Perform set-ups, tool changes, offsets, and run production on various solar module manufacturing machines • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to include reduction of setup times and improvements in quality and throughput utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques • Must perform precision work to exacting tolerances • Read and understand process operation sheets, tooling sheets, machine set up plans and associated documents • Have the ability to correctly gauge and record dimensions • Change and reset tooling • Successfully complete applicable special processes and operator certification requirements • Use measuring equipment, such as micrometers, caliper and gauges • Understand Part Process Flow (incoming/outgoing) • Perform preventive maintenance checks • Be an active contributing member of a high performance, self-directed work team with minimum supervision • Perform tasks that require manual dexterity • Complete all required compliance training • In order to perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the majority of the shift and work in a high production environment Working Conditions Normal factory environment Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, and climbing stairs Required Qualifications Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a performance-based company with tremendous growth potential.
