Solar Installer Roof Lead (Commercial Solar)

POSITION SUMMARY: Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions to commercial and industrial markets that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives. The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting. Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Installer to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is responsible for supporting a team of three to four installers to safely install and commission rooftop commercial solar project orders to high quality standards within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Solar panel installation including layout and assembly of solar panels, structural mounts and ballasts. • When needed, assist electricians with mounting inverters, electrical panels, disconnect switches and other mechanical installation issues related to installing electrical balance of systems. • Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements. • Maintain a culture of accountability and pride in your work. REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibiting professionalism, high energy level, significant commitment, “roll up your sleeves style,” and demonstrated interest in supporting the growth of new businesses. • Previous solar installation experience. • Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states. • Demonstrated continuous process improvement mentality. Electrical Installer (Commercial Solar)

POSITION SUMMARY: Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced electrician to support the rapid growth of our renewable solutions business. This position is responsible for installing electrical equipment such as inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, bending/installing conduit, pulling and terminating wire, and commissioning various control components and devices required to complete the installation of commercial rooftop solar systems. Our projects are located throughout the southeastern United States. Frequent travel is required, however, most work is performed during weekdays. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Install equipment, cables and panels, bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various control components and devices required to complete installation of commercial rooftop solar systems. • Tie in solar system to utility interconnection. • Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements. • Review project Bill of Material at loading dock to ensure that assigned crew truck is adequately stocked for assigned projects. • Act as primary point of contact at site representing Colite Technologies to our customers, permitting authorities and host utilities. • Maintain a culture of accountability by directing daily activities of crew members and overseeing quality of their work. • Drive a continuous improvement culture that optimizes quality, customer satisfaction and schedule completion. • When needed, lead, train crew members, and delegate tasks to crew members in the absence of the crew lead. REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibiting professionalism, high energy level, significant commitment, “roll up your sleeves style,” and demonstrated interest in supporting the growth of new businesses. • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings. • Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC / 120V – 480V AC. • Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states. • Focus on quality, attention to detail and documentation. • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills. • Experience in solar installation QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS: • Journeyman electrical license in South Carolina and/or reciprocating state • Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E, NEC and Electrical Safety • Valid driver’s license • OSHA10 or greater • High School diploma or equivalent • NABCEP certification a plus • *Colite reserves the right to modify, interpret, or apply this job description in any way the company desires.
