Bright Eye Solar LLC is hiring a Solar Technician in Lancaster, PA. The role involves working in the service department to troubleshoot and repair solar systems, as well as assisting with residential and commercial solar installations. Key responsibilities include installation, electrical wiring, site preparation, safety compliance, customer interaction, troubleshooting, team collaboration, and documentation. Candidates should have experience in solar or electrical work and be able to work with tools and at heights. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Techniccian to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping out a couple days a week in our service department and the rest of the time will be on a crew assisting with new residential and commercial solar installations. In the service department you will be troubleshooting solar electric systems and making repairs. Additionally you will provide updgrades to the systems such as battery backup, car chargers, etc. Should have electrical and solar expereieince. Key Responsibilities: • Solar System Installation: • Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and other associated equipment on rooftops, ground mounts, or other locations. • Follow technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer instructions to ensure proper installation of solar systems. • Electrical Wiring: • Perform basic electrical work, including wiring solar panel systems, connecting inverters, and ensuring all electrical connections are safe and functional. • Assist with the installation of AC and DC electrical systems in accordance with local building codes and regulations. • Site Preparation: • Conduct site surveys and prepare installation sites by ensuring the structural integrity of roofs or mounting areas. • Ensure that all equipment is properly secured and positioned for maximum efficiency. • Safety Compliance: • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. • Comply with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and building regulations. • Customer Interaction: • Communicate with clients and project managers to ensure that installations are completed to specifications and customer expectations. • Provide basic operational explanations to customers about their new solar systems. • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing any system issues as needed. • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of installed systems to ensure proper operation. • Team Collaboration: • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other installers, electricians, and project managers. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Documentation and Reporting: • Complete daily reports, including material used, work completed, and time tracking. • Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance performed.
