Telecon is looking for energetic Construction Laborers to join our growing Civil Team! This position is based out of our yard in Tacoma, Washington. Working under the supervision of the site Supervisor, the Laborer will assist the Civil Team with the installation of telecommunications infrastructure (buried cable, wire, or ducts) for various projects. This is a full-time position which includes weekly pay, Benefits, 401K as well as opportunities for growth! Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.00/Hour based on experience. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO: • Diagnose and locate cable faults and replace or repair Telecommunications cables • Hand dig holes and trenches • Frequently use tools such as shovels • Complete landscaping restoration work • Aid with general site preparation and clean-up as directed • Safely load and unload vehicles with supplies and equipment as directed • Run gas and power equipment (i.e., saws, drills, jumping jacks) • Assist with the removal of debris from work sites • Assist with traffic control as directed • Assess work environment for potential health and safety hazards • Solve problems and perform well under pressure and time constraints • Complete other duties as required THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: • Construction or landscaping industry experience – buried utilities or telecommunications/fiber experience strongly preferred • Experience driving a mini-excavator and trenching strongly preferred • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
