Construction Maintenance Associate

Position Description: Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance/Construction Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to assist in the upkeep and construction of facilities and infrastructures. This role is crucial in ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist in Construction Projects: Support skilled tradespeople in tasks such as panel installation, painting, and other construction activities.Perform Maintenance Duties: Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing structures, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.Operate Machinery: Safely operate construction equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, and other machinery as required.Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.Material Handling: Load and unload materials, ensuring they are stored correctly and available as needed for projects.Site Clean-Up: Maintain cleanliness of the worksite by removing debris, disposing of waste materials, and organizing tools.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and other departments, including engineering, procurement and general shop staff, sharing insights on equipment health and collaborating on improving operational efficiency.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in construction or maintenance roles preferred.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.Quick and proficient at learning new skills, through written materials, shop mentoring, or observation.Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.Knowledge of hand and power tools.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability/ desire to work in a marine environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Valid Driver's License.Benefits: Healthcare: Choice of employer sponsored healthcare plans (95% employer contribution), access to dental and vision plansOther: HSA, supplemental mental healthcare etc. Education: Professional on-the-job training and courses for career advancementCircle Seafoods, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
