Job Summary As a Mason working at Diamond Landscaping, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing different structures using different types of materials including concrete, brick, wood and steel. Duties • Prepare the layout of the project. • Ability to use hand, electric, or pneumatic tools. • At all times wear proper PPE and Company shirt. • Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met. • Ensure all crew member are wearing proper PPE. • Ability to properly assess worksite conditions for safety hazards and report to Management. • Immediately inform Management of any injury that occurs. • Ensure adequate water and shade is provided for crew members. • Ensure job sites are free from unnecessary debris and trash, i.e. good housekeeping. • Ensuring personal cell phone use is kept to a minimum. • Attend monthly safety meetings. • Responsible for calculating required materials and ordering supplies. • Ability to complete necessary paperwork, such as time cards and daily work reports. • Ability to read blueprints. • Maintain high standard of quality control. • Utilize proper excavation techniques, locate utilities and notify Dig Alert. • Responsible for the safe keeping of Company issued tools and vehicles and ensuring proper maintenance is completed. • Report to Management any deviations or discrepancies between actual worksite and what blueprints/plans dictate. • Ability to be flexible with project needs. • Ability to get to work on time and demonstrate consistent attendance. • Communicate with Management of absences on a daily basis before the start of scheduled shift. • Ability to follow directions. • Ability to interact/communicate with co-workers, supervisors and owners/agents. • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures. • Ability to accept constructive advice.
