This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a Concrete and Masonry Inspector to join our team in San Diego, CA. This is a technical field position that requires travel to various locations within San Diego, Imperial, and Orange Counties. The ideal candidate will be available for immediate employment followed with an assignment that will continue for the long term. The candidate must be capable of rigorous physical activity. Your Impact • Inspection of concrete and masonry construction. • Monitoring construction / work for compliance with approved drawings, standards, and specifications • Communication and interaction with owners, contractors, engineers, and other inspectors/ technicians • Writing daily field reports in digital format • Participate in WSP safety meetings Who You Are Required Qualifications • High School Diploma. • Minimum of 9 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience. • Essential professional licensure/certification(s). • Current ICC certification as a Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector • Current ICC certifications as a Reinforced Masonry Special Inspector • Experience performing QA/QC during construction • Dependability, honesty, and integrity • Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe PDFs • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to work well independently and with others • Decision making skills • Self-starter • Valid Driver License • Sufficient physical stamina to work long hours indoors and outdoors under various field conditions and exposure to traffic, extreme heat, cold, rainfall, and snow • Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain • Ability to lift 25+ lbs. • Must pass a physical and background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
