Experienced Construction Superintendent

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT Job Description: American Inc. is looking for a thorough and reliable superintendent to help manage and run multiple construction jobs. This person must be able to review approved proposals and cost spreadsheet(s) with the estimator and Project Managers. They must be comfortable scheduling work and have great follow up. The ideal candidate will reach out to the facility contact(s) for confirming the schedule, therefore providing excellent customer service to various owner(s). They must be prepared to answer all questions related to the logistics of the job. Attention to detail and great communication is a must. Experience reading shop drawings and conveying that information is a necessary skill set. Our ideal candidate has experience scheduling, leading a team, scheduling contractors, and ensuring safety and compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Responsibilities · Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project. · Communicate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine the projects requirements. · Supervise and dispatch installers with proper information about project to ensure success. · Plan construction processes · Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback · Monitor and report on project progress · Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities · Implement safety and quality guidelines · Field measure for custom fabricated equipment and trim to insure proper fit at installation. Field verify plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and HVAC rough ins for accuracy before finishes are installed on jobsites. · Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance · Keep track of material stock and orders · Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly · Resolve on-site issues and emergencies Requirements · 3-5 Years previous experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar role · Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites · In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes · Familiarity with CAD software · Proficiency in MS Office · Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-talk. · Knowledge of scheduling software (Microsoft Project) Desired · Ability to lead and inspire · Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field is a plus · Pay is based on experience Job Type: Full-time Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: • Health insurance, vision, Dental • Paid time off Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
