Concrete Foreman

Job Summary As Concrete Foreman for BCM, your responsibility would be to manage job sites, maintain a safe working environment for our employees, customers, and public. The position is accountable for quality, productivity, and budget. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience and must be able to oversee one or more jobs/areas at a time. Essential Functions/Responsibilities • Reading plans and specs is a must. • Leveling, spreading and smoothing concrete using rake, shovel, power or hand trowel/screed and other tools. • Setting the forms that hold the concrete to the desired pitch/depth, and being able to align them. • Checking forms that hold the concrete to make sure they are properly constructed • Erecting forms for concrete. • Tying rebar when required. • Overseeing and looking at crew members work for Quality Assurance. • Flat work, curbs, curb & gutter, V-gutters, retaining walls and structural concrete. • Capable of ordering concrete per approved mix-designs and to the correct quantities. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. • Familiar with reading blueprints and specs and understanding applicable codes. • Follow direction of the Superintendent/General Superintendent with regards to daily production schedule and activities. • Follow all safety, SWPPP policies and procedures including proper washout rules. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience needed as a Foreman. • Must know how to do both concrete finishing and form setting. • Must have experience running crews of 10+ workers and maximize the manpower. • Knowledge of structural carpentry and ADA guidelines. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. • Must be able to multi-task. • Ability to lift heavy objects with proper form. • Walking/Standing/Bending for long periods of time. • Perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor elements. • Current First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 30 certificate is a plus. • Must commute to various counties in the Southern CA region. • Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime when needed. • Required to have valid DL. • Fluent in English and Spanish.
