Construction Laborer Community Housing Improvement Program is looking for a Construction Laborer to supervise our Self-Help builders T The Construction Laborer candidate should be able to perform the following tasks • Effectively train and supervise our self-help builders in the construction of high-quality, sustainable, safe, affordable housing. • The Construction Laborer should be able to organize the work of self-help builders and encourage cooperation and efficiency. • Assure maximum efficiency and safety of the self-help builders and materials. • Oversee tool usage, inventory, and safe work conditions. • The Construction Laborer performs construction work to maintain jobsite production and cleanlines Please Apply if You Have • Self-motivation and are reliable. • Knowledge and ability to perform basic construction skills. • Ability to operate power tools. • Ability to follow instructions/directions and an interest in learning new skills. • Availability to work weekends. • Strong people skills with the patience, tact, and ability to motivate self-help participants. • Reliable transportation. Overview of Role At West Valley Construction, the Foreman is responsible for safely executing jobsite construction tasks through directing and monitoring field personnel and demonstrating the effective communication with project managers, superintendents, clients and other governing agencies.
