JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a hardworking and skilled Concrete Professional to join our construction team. You should be able to pour, spread, and smooth concrete mixtures to match the given specifications. Besides, you should also be able to plan and build forms. You should be able to give the concrete structures a finishing touch by using various sealants and waterproofing solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Mixing, pouring, spreading, and smoothing concrete • Designing and setting up forms • Molding expansion joints and edges as per the instructions • Adding stones, colors, and other decorative items to give it a finishing touch • Using waterproofing solutions and various sealants to protect the concrete • Estimating the number of materials required and the project completion timeline • Reviewing and conducting repairs/restoration of concrete structures • Clearing the worksite of any stones, debris, and equipment before and after work • Adhering to the health and safety protocols at all times • Placing order and arranging for the transportation of materials required for the work • Other duties as assigne, willing to pitch in on other trades on job site Qualifications/Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent • Proven work experience in the construction industry as a concrete laborer, concrete finisher, or a similar role • Knowledge of the safety and health protocols governing the industry • Familiarity with hand and power tools like shovels, rakes, mixer, forklifts, and power washer • Skilled and having excellent physical dexterity • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • Having a keen eye for detail • Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends • Willingness to travel to different locations and work in extreme weather conditions • A team player • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Reliable Transportation within 70 miles of area Zero Impact Builders is an equal opportunity employer. Job tasks include the following Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage a crew of 5 – 10 workers; • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics/ electrical code specifications to determine layout of equipment installations • Supervise and manage trenching for utility conduits, directing operators on backhoes, backfilling and underground scanning • Supervise and manage pouring and finishing concrete pads for switchgear, Electrical Chargers, Bollards, directing paving, and overhead EMT conduit placement • Supervise and manage Electrical resources on the job • Arrange and coordinate safety meetings; • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members; • Be the point of contact with the employer’s site superintendent; • Supervise and train apprentices on the job, as required; • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor; • Controlling inventory on truck, job-site, and in/out of stock (for active jobs); • Organize and maintain material lists for your crew; • Gathering required material; • Responsible for maintaining company tools; • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean; • Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects; • Respond to emergency calls as needed; • Updating work logs, client accounts, and handling other administrative duties. • Communicating with clients in a professional, courteous manner at all times. • Take AHJ inspections and follow up with the utilities.
