Primary Duty This position is responsible for all basic framing, carpentry, tiling, and roofing throughout the school district. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Repair, maintain, and construct projects as assigned by the construction foreman. • Lay brick, block, and tile. • Finish concrete. • Lay foundations. • Estimate materials and supplies for the job. • Select proper materials for the job. • The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee’s supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission. Construction Worker

Job Description & Function THE JOB: The ideal candidate will perform detail-oriented tasks involving physical labor on various types of construction sites, mills, ship ports, warehouses and rail yards. Candidates will ideally posses a commercial construction background. Candidate will be required to operate a wide range of hand and power tools; Hammer drills, grout mixers, small hoists, impact wrenches, surveying and measuring equipment and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Training will be provided for operation of heavy equipment including elevated work platforms, telehandler, forklift etc. Duties will include but are not limited to; cleaning and preparing worksites, performing layouts using surveying equipment, handling of heavy material, slinging and rigging using hoisting equipment, drilling holes for anchors, mixing and pouring grout, welding and grinding, working at heights. Candidates will assist other team members and work in collaboration with the project manager and site supervisor to complete installations on time and budget.
