Construction Project Manager

Under the leadership of the Director of Auxiliary and Facilities and the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs, the Construction Project Manager will be integral in overseeing multiple construction projects simultaneously ensuring compliance will all regulatory standards. The Construction Project Manager will oversee construction sites, ensuring all activities align with project specifications and university objectives. Serves as the primary University contact on construction projects and orchestrate processes and procedures on all job sites, ensure that project budget expenditures remain, within budget allocation, phase and schedule requirements, and provide the project team with the necessary resources to complete the project. Oversee the organization, planning, bidding, scheduling, and implementation of projects. Direct and coordinate the efforts of general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, emphasizing adherence to quality standards. Facilitate collaboration among project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and university administration. Manage project expenditures, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation. Proactively identify and resolve construction related issues, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience. • Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associate Constructor (AC), or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC). • Experience with sustainable construction practices and a commitment to environmentally friendly building solutions. • Three (3) years of progressive responsible experience in the area of architecture and/or project management related to project development and construction. • Comprehensive knowledge of South Carolina building codes and other pertinent laws relating to construction.
