Nature and Scope: We are looking for a skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Minimum eligibility requirements • Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred). • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply. • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques. • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.). • Excellent basic math skills • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. • Conscientious with great attention to detail. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly. • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others. • Practice and promote company’s Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values and Founding Principles. • Must have valid driver license. • Must meet all health requirements. • Must pass criminal background check. • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential functions Maintenance • Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc. • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster) • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools • Apply varnish and other finishes • Calculate costs Customer service • Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. • Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner. • Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority. • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
