These positions work with little supervision and are expected to actively participate with all production personal to achieve Crown’s operational goals. This is a skilled position. Responsibilities · Set up and operate assigned machinery and equipment. · Reliably provide high levels of production to not cause unnecessary plant stoppages. · Set up all pertinent equipment and have ready when assigned shift time starts. Clean Equipment as needed and per Crown’s methods, standards, and procedures. · Learn all factory equipment to be able to provide operational and maintenance support as needed. · Ensure all safety equipment is operational at all times. Maintain Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures when machinery is being worked on or cleaned. · Obtain knowledge of all machine controls, both manual and automatic · Quality Control checks must be done as required by Crown’s methods, standards, and procedures. · Maintain Crown’s housekeeping standards. All work area floors must remain clean to operate the machine. Excessive debris such as oil, grease, or concrete must be cleaned from machines and floors regular. · Monitor Supplies and materials and report low inventory to supervisors. · Set up and prepare machine and supplies for next production shift to begin. · Assist in monitoring all production employees in and around the plant to ensure Safety Compliance to all Crown’s standards. · Comply with all production schedules and quality control tolerances. · Maintain all documentation, record keeping, and paperwork associated with the machine operation and / or equipment. · Must be a team player. Team work is needed to achieve all responsibilities and goals assigned to the employee. · Report any observed violations to established policies. · Sign and verify acceptance of materials and supplies. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required · Obtain knowledge of Crown’s Safety policies and procedures · Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions in English. Must also have the ability to maintain written records and file reports as needed. · Mechanical knowledge, skills, and dexterity are necessary to make adjustments and machine repairs as required. · Required to be alert and observe machinery, plant personnel and product quality at all times. · Organizational and improvisational skills are required to deal with daily challenges and accomplish production targets. · Must possess and demonstrate a significant desire to learn about all aspects of safely operating the plant machinery with a “whatever it takes” attitude!
