Job Summary: The Machinist is responsible for advanced setup, programming, and operation of CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision implants and instruments. This role includes troubleshooting complex machining processes, designing and building tooling, and training junior machinists. Job Responsibilities: • Set up and operate multiple types of CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. • Achieve or exceed established production, quality, and delivery targets while maintaining regulatory compliance. • Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and fixture issues; support process and equipment improvements. • Modify and optimize CNC programs in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering. • Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures needed for production processes. • Train and mentor Level I and II CNC Machinists on setup, operation, and inspection best practices. • Ensure proper inspection methods and accurate use of metrology equipment to meet quality requirements. • Maintain full compliance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulatory standards. • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report any deviations immediately. • Adhere to safety and environmental policies and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Apply knowledge of the company’s Quality Management System and relevant manufacturing standards. • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and cross-functional departments as needed.
