CNC Machinist

Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and editing CNC programs across a variety of machines. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment, tight tolerances, and precision manufacturing in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities • Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality components • Work with a variety of CNC equipment including Okuma, DMG Mori, Mazak, HAAS, EDM, and more • Perform machining tasks with tight tolerances to meet engineering specifications • Utilize G&M code for program editing (no full programming required) • Inspect finished parts and ensure compliance with quality standards • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes Qualifications • Proven CNC machining experience (required) • Experience with both mill and lathe operations (preferred, not required) • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sarasota, FL. CNC Machinist - Days

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set-up, maintain and operate machine shop equipment, machine tools, including our jig boring machine, manual mill, lathe and surface grinder. • Produce quality components to Engineering drawings and sketches. • Work to acceptable production and quality standards. • Adhere to Health & Safety policies, quality procedures and job specific work instructions. • Follow written and verbal instructions from Lead Hand and Management. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: • Grade 12 or equivalent • Knowledge of standard Machine Shop practices. • Able to read mechanical blueprints and use standard measuring tools (i.e. vernier or dial calipers, micrometer, height gauge and bore gauges). Experience: • 3 years Machine shop experience. • Haas CNC machine as asset • Grinding experience an asset Specific Skill Ability and Knowledge: • Capable of safely operating all Machine Shop tools and equipment including cranes and tow motor. • Able to complete process checks & inspection for quality and accuracy based upon engineering specifications. • Able to effectively communicate to Lead Hands and Supervisors on problems relating to production, scrap, tooling, and equipment. • Capable of setting up, identifying, and replacing cutting tools. • Capable of troubleshooting process and tooling problems including communication of root cause findings. • Assist with tool studies, process development and product or process improvements. CNC Mill Operator

Location: Palmetto, FL The CNC Mill Operator is a skilled hands-on role responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machines to produce high-precision parts. This position is critical to our manufacturing process, requiring a strong focus on quality, precision, and adherence to technical specifications. Duties & Responsibilities: Machine Operation & Setup: • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to execute machining operations accurately and efficiently. • Load and secure raw materials onto the machine and select appropriate cutting tools. • Start and stop machine cycles, closely monitoring the process and making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results. • Set up or program the computer responsible for the machinery, leveraging familiarity with CNC programming, CAD, and CAM software. Quality Control & Inspection: • Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications. • Use precision measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to measure and verify parts, ensuring they meet exact specifications and tight tolerances. • Inspect the machinery and finished products for quality assurance throughout the production run. Maintenance, Upkeep, Safety & Compliance: • Perform routine checks and basic daily maintenance on the machinery. • Identify and replace worn-out cutting tools and ensure the equipment is clean and well-maintained. • Follow all company and safety requirements and maintain relevant certifications. • Handle materials appropriately and safely throughout the manufacturing process. Record-keeping: • Document production output, quality inspections, and any operational issues or adjustments that arise. Skills & Experience Required: Qualifications & Foundational Experience: • Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or a similar role in a precision manufacturing environment is required. • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings. • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.). • Familiarity with CNC machinery and computer programming. • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software is highly desirable. Operational Competencies • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing parts that meet stringent quality specifications. • A strong quality and safety mindset, prioritizing both in all aspects of work. • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and perform necessary adjustments efficiently. • Able to prioritize and use time effectively to meet production schedules.
