CNC Machinist – Mill/Lathe 1st Shift Key Responsibilities • CNC Operation: Set up and operate CNC milling and/or lathe machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality. • Process Monitoring: Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and optimize efficiency. • Quality Control: Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators). • Collaboration & Improvement: Work closely with engineering and production teams to enhance machining processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintenance & Safety: Conduct routine preventive maintenance and uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Standards & Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and production timelines in a fast-paced, high-performance setting. What You Bring • 2–5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience (milling, turning, or both). • Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and process optimization. • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and modifying G-code and M-code. • Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, GD&T principles, tooling, and fixturing. • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) is a plus. • High attention to detail with excellent time management and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
