Machine Operator

BACKGROUND: DWK Life Sciences LLC (DWK) was created as a result of the merger of three industry leaders and provides the world’s laboratories and production environments with the most comprehensive range of labware for scientific research and technical applications as well as solutions for storage and packaging. POSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator is responsible for the procurement To operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner and produce product per customer specification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs. • Complete equipment set-up's in accordance with customer specifications and quality procedures. • Produce assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions. • Record length of time and quantity of materials used for each job. • Inspect parts and document findings on appropriate paperwork as needed. • Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries. • Adhere to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. • Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas. • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. • Rubber machine operator (molding) position requires heat resist sleeves & gloves, safety glasses, and during set up steel toe tips. • Seals machine operator position requires safety glasses, ear plugs and during set up steel toe tips • Required to wear proper gowning for specific areas • Maintain good housekeeping and EHS requirements • Perform other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE • High School diploma, GED or equivalent • 3-5 years of proven Machine Operator experience • MS Office Suite, SAP a plus • Understands the basic concepts of manufacturing • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substitute at management discretion. WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift at times up to 15lbs.
