CNC Plasma Operator 2nd Shift

Job Description: Plasma Operator Position Title: Plasma Operator Location: Seaford, De Reports To: Production Supervisor Position Overview: We are seeking a CNC Plasma Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machinery operations, safety protocols, and the ability to read detail drawings. However we will train an Individual who possesses the right skills such as strong computer understanding and a willingness to learn and work hard. The Plasma Operator will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of the plasma cutting process while adhering to production schedules. Key Responsibilities: • Must be able to read a tape measure. • Machine Operation: Safely operate plasma cutting machines and overhead cranes to execute cuts as per production specifications. • Computer Proficiency: Utilize basic computer skills to navigate Windows-type operating systems for downloading programs via flash drive or email. • Operational Checks: Perform daily operational checks and ensure the cleanliness of the workspace at the beginning and end of shifts. • Program Adjustments: Make minor adjustments to cutting programs to optimize performance and efficiency. • Production Goals: Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. • Cutting and Nesting: Nest parts to be cut for machine CNC software. • Quality Control: Complete production and Quality Control sheets accurately to ensure compliance with company standards. • Work Orders: Accurately complete work orders based on the production schedule. • Torch Head Maintenance: Change all parts in the torch head as necessary to ensure optimal operation. • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot plasma cutting equipment to the operator’s level to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience as a Plasma Operator or in a similar manufacturing role preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings. • Familiarity with overhead crane operation and safety procedures. • Basic computer skills, including experience with Windows operating systems. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods. • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
