Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Inspect, service, repair, and maintain export terminal equipment including but not limited to diesel and gas heavy work equipment, rail car dumpers, conveyors, and ship loaders. Employees must complete the Weight Limitation Survey prior to bidding or bumping to any position that requires the Safety Policy on Weight Limitations of Equipment Primary Activities And Responsibilities • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment. • Assemble, Troubleshoot and Perform Heavy Repairs to all types of equipment components including gas and diesel engines, transmissions and differentials, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, various work-, head assemblies, booms, electronic, electrical/operating systems, pneumatic sub-systems and conveyor belt systems. • Understand mechanical operations of machinery; and all other work generally recognized as machinists’ work. • Solve work related problems, make decisions, follow instructions, and other duties as assigned by manager. • Must have a valid CDL with a current health card and may require Hazmat endorsement.
