About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Precision Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts, ensuring that all work meets the required specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and troubleshooting will be essential to our success. Responsibilities • Complete necessary documentation to verify work meets specifications. • Interpret technical documents, including process sheets, grinder logs, and roll inspection forms, to understand job requirements. • Plan machining operations and assist with machine setup to optimize production. • Mount and select appropriate grinding wheels and adjust machine feeds and speeds. • Conduct in-process inspections to confirm adherence to job specifications. • Adjust setups, change grinding wheels, and perform additional operations to meet customer needs. • Inspect and document completed work to ensure customer specifications are achieved. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and inspection standards. Qualifications Required Skills • Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting, CNC tooling, and CNC programming. • Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with CNC machine repair. • Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code for CNC programming. • Experience with machine setups for production runs. • Ability to operate a lift truck and overhead crane as needed.
