The ideal candidate possess knowledge to set-up, operator and troubleshoot all machines to affect the fabrication, repair, modification and calibration of gauges, patterns, fixtures, molds, tools and dies used in the manufacturing environment. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and precision based on the requirements from blueprints, rough sketches, work samples and verbal instruction within the following tolerances: Turning - .001 to .003 inch, Milling - .001 to .003 inch, Grinding - .001 to .003 inch, Drilling - .001 to .005 inch, Boring - .001 to .003 inch. + Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Job Title: Machine Operator 1 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Operations Reports to: Assistant Manager, Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: Machine Operator 1 (MO1) is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing company railway maintenance and inspection equipment.
