POSITION SUMMARY: Franklin Armory, Inc. seeks a motivated, self-starter CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist to help support continued growth. Primary responsibility is the setup and operation of Swiss-type lathes with occasional programming. Successful candidates will know about Swiss turning methods, techniques, tooling, and software. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set up, program, and operate DMG Sprint Swiss-type CNC machines. • Develop and accurately document processes. • Identify tool requirements and RFQ as needed with the Admin Assistant. • Program requires proficiency in Esprit software and manual programming. • Conduct in-process inspection to ensure high-quality standards are met. • Ensure that all Swiss lathe processes are performed in a quality manner, taking responsibility for on-time delivery and minimizing any quality issues. • Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills. • Knowledge of machining processes using applicable tools • Mechanical aptitude and sound math skills • Ability to read and interpret drawings • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and reporting necessary repairs to the Department Lead. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 3 years of Swiss experience • Mechanically inclined with a good working attitude, a Self-Starter • Esprit programming experience • Ability to follow Complex and Multiple instructions • Have a working knowledge of Common hand tools EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or GED LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
