Machine Operator II

Carris Reels, Inc. has 3 open positions for Machine Operator ll in our Bonham Texas location! One 1st shift opening and Two 2nd shift openings. Under supervision of the Department Supervisor, our Machine Operators will operate woodworking machines, such as drill presses, saws, molder, slotter, routers, edger, and wood-nailing machines to perform woodworking operations. Essential Functions/Job Requirements: • Keep the work area safe and clean, while in the process of producing wood products. • Perform work in high production assembly line facility. • Set up, operate, and tend drill, routers, planer, saw, slotter, and wood-nailing machines. • Cut, shape, and smooth wooden parts. • Verify dimensions using tape measure. • Operate specialized pieces of woodworking machinery. • Complete all stages of woodworking process. • Apply paint to raw wood. • Examines finished workpiece for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut and conformity to specifications, visually and using hands, rule, or other gauges. • Examines raw wood stock for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards. • Hand-stacks on pallet or conveyor or controls hoist to remove part or product from workstation. • Must be able to safely operate the forklift in the day-to-day operations. Qualifications: • Ability to work safely in all conditions. • Ability to work in hot and cold environments. • Ability to read tape measure. • Ability to read spec sheets. • Must be detail oriented and have a strong desire to learn. • Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, kneeling, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 80 lbs. • Able to complete part requisition forms and work-order paperwork to document work performed. • Focused on strictly adhering to safety procedures such as “lock-out, tag-out, and required PPE." • Results-oriented • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving • Organized with strong time management skills • Good communicators, able to work through problems with other team members. Essential functions of the job: Continuous Bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, stretching, twisting, lifting up to 80lbs, pulling, pushing, walking, use of both hands and feet, continuous movement of both arms and legs.

Brake Press Operator/Machinist

RPM Staffing is seeking several skilled Brake Press Operators/Machinists for a warehouse in Bonham, TX, 1st and 2nd shift positions are available! Candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience with the operation of Amada Brake Press Machines but setup and changing of tools in addition to the operation of Amada Brake Press is a plus. Responsibilities: Set up and operations of Brake Press that include but are not limited to: • Ensuring safe working processes while abiding to Safety Policies. • Ensuring periodic machine maintenance is completed and documented as required. • Interpreting pertinent data from Blueprints, Travelers, and other information and applying it to the required job. • Managing and coordinating workload with a high level of through put while maintaining a defect free output. • Configuring and setting-up jobs as required. • Identifying proper tooling required. • Operating brakes and other equipment as required. • Identifying and reporting documentation errors and other problems in a timely manner. • Ensuring sampling processes and other quality checks are being completed and recorded. • Ensuring the appropriate documentation is completed as required. • Identifying defective equipment and/or tooling and reporting to the supervisor. • Communicating and working effectively with management and other departments. • Understanding proper bending and efficient manufacturing practices. • Performing other tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor or management. Laser/Punch Machinist

RPM Staffing is looking for skilled Punch and Laser Operators/machinists for a warehouse in Bonham, TX Pay: $18-23/hr DOE (Plus shift Differential for 2nd shift) Shift: • 2nd: Mon-Thur 3:30pm-2am (Some overtime on Friday may be required) Responsibilities: Set up and operations of the Punch and Laser machines that include but are not limited to: • Ensuring safe working processes while abiding by Safety Policies. • Perform preventative maintenance with the checklist provided. • Fabricate a quality part that meets all the requirements of the print and specifications. • Report all maintenance issues of safeguards not operating properly immediately to the Supervisor. • Ensuring weekly machine maintenance sheets are completed and documented as required. • Interpreting pertinent data from Blueprints, Travelers, and other information and applying it to the required job. • Configuring and setting up jobs as required. • Identifying proper tooling required, making sure the tool crib is organized and maintained daily, and understanding the correct way to sharpen and maintain punch tooling. • Must understand metal conditions, thicknesses, and grain directions per shear list specifications. • Must be able to visually inspect all parts after runs for excessive burrs, burns, slag and other defects to know how to make the necessary adjustments to the machine. (Cut conditions) • Identifying and reporting documentation errors and other problems in a timely manner. • Ensuring sampling processes and other quality checks are being completed and recorded. • Ensuring the appropriate documentation is completed as required. • Identifying defective equipment and/or tooling and reporting to the Supervisors. • Communicating and working effectively with management and other departments. • Understanding the proper technique on punch tooling, laser cut condition, and deburring using the correct equipment and efficient manufacturing practices. • Performing other tasks as directed by the Supervisor. Requirements: • Ability to perform the Responsibilities listed above. • Possesses a Positive Attitude with a “Lead by Example” work ethic. • Familiar with the operation of a Pega including setting machine parameters for the type of materials being cut. • The ability to spend most of the day standing and/or moving about the work area/shop as required. • Ability to safely handle parts up to 35 pounds. • The ability to perform other tasks within reasonable exertion limits to assist other shop personnel in special circumstances. • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. • High school education is desired but not mandatory.
