Machinist - Level I -Apprenticeship (2nd Shift)

About the position Responsibilities • Enhancing safety by promptly reporting hazards and using personal protective equipment. • Promoting health by reporting work-related injuries or illnesses. • Upholding quality by following standard work procedures and quality protocols. • Supporting equipment maintenance through preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities. • Learning and applying skills through classes and on-the-job training to build tool room skills. • Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and performing routine maintenance tasks. • Fostering teamwork through effective communication and collaboration with team members. • Engaging in continuous improvement activities and providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system. Requirements • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience. • Minimal or no work experience required. • Ability to use fine increments of measurement using the Metric or Imperial systems of measurements is desirable. Nice-to-haves • CNC (Computer Numerical Control) experience is a plus.
