CNC Operators at JBT Proseal America are responsible for the setup and operation of 3-axis vertical CNC milling machines. Daily tasks performed include bandsaw operation, material preparation, part setup and production, quality inspections, and machine maintenance. CNC Operators are also expected to contribute to daily department activities which include forklift operation, material handling, and others as required. The Opportunity ... Job Duties • Machine Operation: Operate 3-axis vertical CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints • Setup and Programming: Set up CNC machines, including raw material preparation, loading materials, machining tool setups, inputting programs, and adjusting settings to ensure accurate production • Quality Control: Inspect CNC programs and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This will include the use of precision measuring tools • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activitie Job Requirements • Experience: Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment or technical/vocational school graduation with a manufacturing focus is preferred • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, strong understanding in the use of hand tools and precise measuring tools, CAD/CAM familiarity and CNC machine operation and maintenance • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in production • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and production processes • Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation • Strong time management and organization • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes • Forklift Certified preferred Environment • Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery noise and potential hazards Physical Demands • Ability to stand for long periods • Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving materials upwards of 60 pounds • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools and machinery • Bending, stooping, and reaching to access machine components and materials Why work at JBT ...
