Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Specifications: Job Type: Full-time Location: Roanoke Rapids, NC Pay Rate: $16.00/hr. Schedule: 6:45pm to 7:15am, rotating on a 2-2-3 schedule Roles and Responsibilities: Place a small drill bit onto the hone spindle and press the start button to feed the part into the machine for polishing and debris removal Use basic hand-tools and work on the machine as required (training provided) Provide daily reports on safety discrepancies and incidents observed Ensure all safety-related incidents are documented and communicated clearly Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma/GED required 6 months of machine operator/manufacturing experience preferred but not required Mechanical skills and ability to use hand-tools Machine set-up experience preferred but willing to train Ability to read blueprints (experience preferred but not required) Steel-toed shoes required Apply now and take the next step towards a rewarding career as a Machine Operator with our elite tooling company in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Machine Operator Summary of job duties: Qualified Machine Operator -Rod Line will perform all functions associated with the Cutting Process and secondary processes including identifying each cut piece based on the Order's criteria, inspecting the finished product for material defects, and performing the final packaging of the product for shipment. Responsibilities: Prepares saw program according to a material type and size being cut and accurately cuts material based on Customer's Order specifications. Verifies correct material length for the job prior to identifying each cut piece. Removes cut stock from the machine and maintains production count. Move raw material stock from Saw Cutting Machines either to Recycling Bins or stock. Packages materials for shipments. Package finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping, etc.) as required. Manual labor is required for operating machinery. Maintain a strong sense of urgency, a self-driven, detail-oriented individual. Must be detail-oriented, have steady hands, and have the ability to follow instructions and interpret drawings. Perform all secondary operations, such as polishing and deburring. Ensure that no damaged raw material is accepted and no damaged product is sent out. Focused on quality and Customer satisfaction. Participate fully in product training sessions, meetings, skills training, and professional development classes. Must be effective working in a fast-paced team environment, and able to see projects through to completion. Any other duties assigned by Management. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent 6 months - 1 year of experience with metal cutting preferred Understand and use measuring tools and devices. Ability to stand, sit, and possibly lift up to 33 pounds Must have basic computer skills Able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly. Ability to work in varied temperatures, and conditions dependent on the outside environment.
