CNC Machinist/ Precision Machinist (CNC & Manual Machines) Elizabeth City, NC Full Time/ Direct Hire About the Job Seeking a skilled machinist to produce precision parts by programming and operating CNC and manual lathes and milling machines. Responsible for manufacturing and repairing parts using both manual and automated equipment, while maintaining quality, safety, and accurate documentation. Key Responsibilities: • Review samples, drawings, and instructions to ensure accurate production • Plan job sequences by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and specifications • Select machines and set appropriate parameters for tasks • Monitor production, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues • Take precision measurements to verify output meets specifications • Complete production and quality logs • Support team operations and continuous process improvements Qualifications: • Vocational school or apprenticeship required • Strong manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Experience with manual, semi-automated, and automated machining (lathes, grinders, etc.) • Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals • Knowledge of metal and material properties • Strong math and analytical skills • Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting Benefits & Schedule: • 3 weeks PTO, health insurance, 401(k) with match and profit sharing after 1 year • Four-day workweek: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30 min lunch) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Schedule: • Day shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
