CNC Machinist (5-Axis)

THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Mill Drill Insert Supervisor LOCATION: 485 W. 3rd St. Dover, OH 44622 ROLE: To effectively process #Y through #4 T-A blanks for customer orders through the CO2 laser cutting, deburr, and drilling machines. The operator applies all rough blank geometry features & finished screw holes prior to leaving the department for heat treatment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage multiple work centers. • Read and understand engineering drawings. • Maintain a clean work area. • Effectively communicate with supervisors and peers. • Follow production schedule. • Follow QMS procedures. • Pull and return raw material, maintaining accurate inventory levels. • Operate jib crane to safely handle plate stock. • Properly segregate HSS materials throughout the process. • Startup, calibrate, and shutdown CO2 laser. • Assemble laser programs according to production schedule. • Operate laser in both manual and automatic modes. • Adjust CNC offsets to control quality. • Monitor and replace nozzles. • Monitor and replace lasing gas cylinders. • Inspect laser cut feature. • Perform daily and weekly laser maintenance. • Startup and shutdown tumbling Deburring machine. • Operate tumbling Deburring machine. • Manage appropriate media size. • Monitor and maintain filtration system. • Startup and shutdown multi-station drill machine. • Load blanks into magazines and magazines into machine. • Inspect drilled features. • Monitor tool wear and change tools as needed. • Package blanks for heat treat operation. • Associate shall maintain the appropriate tool kit per the "Associate Tool Policy." • Perform additional tasks as determined by department supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Requirements • Operators are required to stand anywhere from 8-12hrs per day • Must be able to lift and carry at least 32lbs Education • High School Graduate or GED equivalent required • Apprenticeship Program preferred. Experience Experience with CNC controls is preferred. Skills • Good organization and communication skills • The ability to use micrometers, digital indicators, and other measuring devices • The ability to follow a production schedule • The ability to follow all operation and safety procedures established for each job/machine • Good hand eye coordination and dexterity

CNC Shop Manager

Shift Schedule: Regular Shift: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (Monday to Friday) Job Duties & Responsibilities: Supervision of ~10 union CNC machinists across multiple shifts - includes interviewing, hiring, scheduling, performance management, discipline, daily assistance, and training Scheduling for CNC department - includes reviewing overall plant & CNC workload, due dates, and machine and manpower availability.
