Position: CNC Machinist / Tool & Die Maker – Wire EDM Training Overview A precision manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Machinist or Tool & Die Maker interested in expanding their skillset into Wire EDM operations. This role allows candidates to leverage their existing CNC machining experience while receiving hands-on training in a specialized, high-demand technology. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. • Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. • Collaborate with engineering and tool room teams on prototyping and custom part fabrication. • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles. • Participate in cross-training to develop Wire EDM programming and operational skills. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes. Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CNC Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, or in a similar precision machining role. • Proficient in blueprint reading and shop math. • Skilled in machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting. • Experience working with tight tolerances and high-finish requirements. • Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn advanced technologies. • Previous exposure to Wire EDM is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
