Key Responsibilities As a Parts Specialist, you will provide exceptional customer service to both retail and installer customers. This role will also support store management in achieving key performance indicators. • Customer Service: • Follow company customer service programs, greet customers warmly, and assist them in selecting merchandise. • Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed. • Provide excellent service to customers by phone, answering calls according to company policy, looking up parts, quoting prices, recommending items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee. • Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, adhering to company policies and procedures. • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally. • Operational Tasks: • Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accepting cash and checks, making change, and processing credit card transactions. • Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, and more. • Perform various daily tasks, such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and operating brake lathe and other store test equipment after training. Additional Responsibilities: • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate. • Participate in all other duties assigned by management. Requirements Successful candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications: • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. • Exceptional customer service skills, providing a friendly and professional experience. • Multitasking ability, handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service. • ASE certification. • Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish being highly desirable.
