CNC Machinist $22-$35/hr + 10% Shift differential on 2nd shift Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Machinist where you will specialize in CNC milling, turning, and grinding. You will work with a variety of materials, including Aluminum, Titanium, and Inconel. Our facility boasts over 100 CNC machines, including Okuma, DMG, OKK, and Toshiba, with capabilities of up to 100 inches for milling and up to 78 inches for turning. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC machines, including milling, lathe, or multi-axis, to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Program and edit CNC machine code as required, using G-code and CAD/CAM software. • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal operation. • Conduct quality checks on finished parts, ensuring they meet customer specifications. • Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation. • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills • CNC experience Mills or Lathes. • Proficiency in blueprint reading. • Basic inspection experience. • Strong shop math skills. • Experience with Fanuc controls. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Knowledge of machining processes. • Familiarity with calipers and micrometers. • Experience with G&M codes and Siemens controls. • Understanding of tolerances and GD&T. Work Environment • The Shop climate-controlled, though it may be dusty. • We have over 100 CNC machines • 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). About the job As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in performing a variety of duties to disassemble, inspect, repair, measure, and assemble products and subassemblies to bring them up to specification standards. You will have the opportunity to set up and operate machine tools, fit and assemble parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines. Products supported include high-speed separators, decanters, WHE units, pumps, and valves for our internal and external customers. Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Greenwood, IN. As a part of the team, you will: • Perform equipment receipt, uncrate, clean, strip, and tear down units. • Inspect, repair, service, test, and package following the company's policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines. • Work from drawings, parts lists, blueprints, charts, tables, and graphs to evaluate and assist in estimating repair costs, time, and materials or parts needed to repair assemblies and subassemblies. • Follow the quality plan per job to repair products. • Diagnose, check, and correct mechanical functions through adjustments, using various tools and approved repair methods. • Set up and operate test stands and related equipment as required. • Record written test results on appropriate test documents. • Paint, pack, crate, and document shipment of units, parts, and materials. • Move material inside the shop as needed (using forklifts, cranes, etc.). • Recognize and communicate the need for replenishment of supplies, tools, repair parts, and other facility needs to supervision in a timely manner. • Keep work area and surrounding equipment clean and organized. Perform housekeeping as required at the facility to maintain a professional presentation – (follows 5S guidelines). • Set up and balance rotating equipment using approved balancing methods as required. • May be asked to perform some field service work from time to time (not frequent or required). • Actively participate in ALPS meetings. • Reconstruct parts using manual machining equipment and utilizing mechanical machinist/engineering principles. • Determine dimensions and tolerances of pieces to be machined. • Determine sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts, or descriptions of parts. • Plan, set up, and execute assignments using machine tools ranging from drills, lathes to milling machines. • Independently identify, select, and adjust tools, jaws, and fixtures appropriate for the repair. • Utilize precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy of work. We have served many different industries for over 50 years. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and produce forge tooling, carbon fiber molds and plastic closure molds just to name a few. Our 45,000 square foot climate controlled facility offers year around comfort and cleanliness is a priority. Work Schedule: Day shift is from 7:00am to 5:45pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:00am to 3:45pm on Friday. Lunch break is from 12:00pm to 12:45 pm each day. Standard work week is 48 hours with some flexibility. Additional overtime is available if desired. Job Summary: Operate CNC Milling Machine to produce the required parts. Monitor the machining operation to insure proper results. Read and follow process sheets and drawings to perform machining operations. Follow required quality control procedures. Minimum yearly pay $48,000.00 based on 48 hours a week 52 weeks a year. Other duties as assigned.
