Weekend CNC Machinist PM Shift

Position: Weekend CNC Machinist (Friday - Sunday) - PM Shift Location: North Manchester Overview The Production Machinist (Level 1) at Precision Medical Technologies is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality medical components. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet industry standards and client specifications, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the company. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor CNC machines and other production equipment to manufacture medical components according to specifications. • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machinery as required. • Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. • Document production activities and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor. • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of new machinery and production techniques. • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide support in resolving technical challenges. Required Education • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field is preferred. Required Experience • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or precision machining industry. • Experience with operating and maintaining CNC machines and manual machining equipment. • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Required Skills And Abilities • Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and precision. • Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues independently. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. • Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation software.
