Cnc Machinist Operator

Job Title: CNC Machinist Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts and equipment, handle material, and operate a variety of CNC Machines including Horizontal and Vertical Mills. You will be responsible for operating various machines in a team environment. Responsibilities • Operate and load a variety of CNC Machines including Horizontal and Vertical Mills. • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and quality tools. • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. • Understand and utilize controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. • Use lifting devices to move large parts safely. Essential Skills • Experience operating CNC Machines. • Ability to understand Start, Stop, and Recovering program language. • Ability to understand written standard work instructions and blueprints. • 2+ years of relevant experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. • Positive Attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or GED typically required. • Experience with machine tool brands such as EDMG MORI, Giddings & Lewis, Junker Grinder systems, Waldrich-Coburg, Burkhardt+Weber, SW Twin Spindle machines, and Stama Twin Spindle machines. • Familiarity with controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, and proprietary systems (such as Junker grinders). • Experience with ABB or Fanuc Robots. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing environment on an incredible team. The facility is temperature-controlled throughout, split into half assembly side and half machine shop. The dress code is relaxed, allowing sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, work pants, and jeans. The facility is very clean with minimal debris because safety is the highest priority. We currently have all shifts available including weekend opportunities. Pay $27-29/HR Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.71 - $28.68/hr. Job Title: Machinist Job Description The Level III Machinist is responsible for executing metal cutting, drilling, grinding, and deburring tasks according to blueprint and instruction specifications within a large machine shop environment. This role requires handling raw materials, operating CNC machines, and ensuring quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
