Machine Operator I

Job Title: Machine Operator I Job Description Perform and oversee various refinery plant operational duties within an industrial work environment while monitoring and controlling the refining/processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor refinery plant equipment and processes according to established procedures and safety protocols. • Perform routine maintenance on refinery plant equipment and troubleshoot any issues as they arise. • Monitor and maintain process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations, to ensure optimal performance. • Monitor and control refinery plant emissions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. • Communicate with other plant personnel and management to coordinate activities and ensure safe and efficient operations. • Complete necessary documentation, including operating logs, maintenance records, and safety reports. • Participate in training and development programs to maintain and improve skills. Work Environment Work within the world's largest oil re-refinery, handling products such as KLEEN+ RHT70, RHT120, and RHT240 Base Oils, Industrial Fuels, VTAE. The facility includes a lubricants blending area with a 30M GPY capacity, railcar & trailer wash, re-refining, blending, testing, and staging. Process waste oil into high-quality lubricating oils and other products in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. The schedule rotates every two weeks, working from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a work cycle of 15 days out of 30. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Chicago, Indiana. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. CNC Mill Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description This position is for a CNC Machinist who will lead a team, perform machine and job setups, and operate MILLS - 3 Axis with 4 Axis Rotary and 5 Axis Trunnion CNC Vertical Machining Centers. The individual will typically run 2 machines during their shift in a high mix, low volume environment. Responsibilities • Perform job setup and operations using provided work order and part print (blueprint). • Set tool tables and align offsets to the correct settings, and pull correct tooling for the job according to the work order. • Identify and load the correct part program into the machine according to the work order. • Perform both short and long runs as needed. • Identify the correct material from inventory locations according to the work order (materials are 2” to 16” in size). • Perform miscellaneous tasks such as first piece inspections, quality checks, basic preventative maintenance, cleaning the work area, and assisting other employees when needed. • Check parts for quality and specifications according to job documentation, including performing 1st piece inspections. • Keep accurate part counts and complete cycle time sheets. • Follow safety rules as they apply to the job and work area. • Adhere to company rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Essential Skills • 3 to 5 years of experience with CNC Controls. • Experience with Fanuc controls (16i, 18i, 200i, 31i) on Vertical Machining Centers is a plus. • Capability of holding tolerances down to 5/10,000ths. • Working knowledge of CNC machine work coordinate systems, tool length, and diameter offsets. • Understanding of G, M, and S Codes and the ability to make at-machine program edits. • Proficiency in shop math and solving shop math problems. • Ability to read blueprints and English Work Order Instructions. • Proficient in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and test indicators. • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds (jacks and hoists available when necessary). Additional Skills & Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED preferred. • Advanced Machine Skills Training is a plus. Why Work Here?
