Tempel is looking to add a Machinist to our team. This individual is responsible for assembling simple parts into finished ones using lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses. As a Machinist, one must perform accurate and timely machining duties as an organized self-starter that meets or exceeds quality and delivery requirements. 1st Shift - Monday through Friday 6am - 2pm. Pay rate: Hourly role with compensation between $54,000–$63,000 per year. Responsibilities • Operates lathes and Bridgeport type mills and performs fit-ups of simple parts. • Reads micrometers, dial indicators, vernier calipers and blueprints. • Performs basic math related to machining of parts. • Sharpens tools. • Other duties as assigned. About the Role: The Advanced Machinist plays a crucial role in the steel manufacturing industry by operating and maintaining various types of machinery. This position requires precision and attention to detail, as the machinist will be responsible for laying out and planning the cut path, monitoring the machining process, and adjust feeds and speeds as necessary.
