Job Summary: The CNC Programmer/Machinist for the Mazak machine is responsible for the programming and operation of specified machinery in order to develop and process parts, tools, and other work pieces as specified by Hydro. Key Job Tasks: • Program using conversational controls such as Mazatrol Control. • Set up and operate CNC Lathe effectively and efficiently. • Complete set-ups on a variety of large, refurbished parts. • Machine parts to close tolerances (.001) from raw material and/or castings in the most efficient manner while understanding safety and quality requirements. • Read and interpret drawings using conventional tolerances as well as geometric tolerances. • Adjust speeds and feeds to maximize machining productivity. • Monitor machine operation and control panel displays to ensure proper working condition. • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications. Perform simple repairs to equipment as needed. • Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her immediate area of responsibility. • Assure strict adherence to company safety standards. • Collects, records, and maintains accurate CNC programs and other production related information and/or data as required.
