Experienced CNC Machinist

JBK Manufacturing is recruiting for a 1st shift CNC Operator. We are a growing company, and we are looking for a qualified candidate that is looking for growth opportunities and a long-time career. Summary/Objective: Setup/Operator of Mori Seki/Hwacheon (Fanuc) CNC single/multi spindle Lathes and/or Mills. Individual hired will be working in a cell environment and responsible for running production on multiple machines. This individual will also be responsible for documenting inspections as required by quality control. The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC machinist loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures. Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasks. Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results. Completes and maintains paperwork for parts. Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, and sand blasting tasks. Competencies Communication Proficiency. CMM Operator/Inspector/Machinist

• Candidate must have knowledge of a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) • We can provide any training needed. We are just looking for someone who is detail oriented and willing to learn and help out around the shop as needed. • Must have experience with all standard inspection methods (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, gauge blocks, gauge pins, etc.) • Candidate must have another manufacturing skill (such as jig grinding, OD grinding, milling, etc.) in order to work when not doing inspection. Inspection won't take up 40 hours a week • At least 2 years of experience required • Full-time position requiring 40 hours a week (minimum) • Must be a US citizen We are a small job shop (15 employees), not a production shop. Each part is different, requiring outside-the-box thinking. We’re a 3rd generation family-owned company located in Dayton, Ohio who’s been manufacturing close tolerance products since 1969. We have toolmakers, machinists, engineers, and an inspector who all work in unison. We also design, manufacture and calibrate gages.
