Required skills & Responsibilities may include some of the following: • Safe equipment operation and practices. • Knowledge of machining processes (milling and turning) and capabilities. • Full understanding of blueprint reading and tolerancing. • Set up and prove out machining centers with existing programs. Knowledge of Okuma vertical mills/lathes is a plus. • Capability to develop and write CNC milling/turning programs if needed using G Code. • Able to complete 1st pc inspection as well as identify quality check/frequency throughout the production run. • Modify programs as necessary to improve quality and reduce cycle time. • Overtime as needed. This includes working overtime thru the weekdays, on weekends and Holidays as required. • Capable of proving out programs provided from CAM software. • Knowledge and use of CAM software to write programs is a plus. • Maintain clean and organized work environment. Overtime as needed. This may include working overtime through the weekdays, on weekends, and on Holidays as required.
