Typical day, CNC Conversational Programming and running the program to produce mechanical details per blue prints. Machinist will be responsible for all of the processes related to the production of parts. Competencies and Duties to include: • Programming and running VMC machines for precision parts. • Experience in metal forming, welding, or tube bending environments. • Experience with part layout and quality techniques. • Blueprint reading skills. • MIG & TIG Tube Welding • Inspect parts using measuring tools ie. Micrometers, Calipers, and Bore Gauges • Tube Coiling • Tube Machining • End Forming & Beading • Tube Coping & Notching • Setup, program, & operate manual & HURCO CNC Tube Bending Machines. • Follow quality procedures with documentation. AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: • Be held accountable for safety, quality, cost, and production goals while running the line • Start-up and operate CNC equipment, automation equipment and gaging equipment • Review gage traces, analyze and make needed offsets in machines • Change inserts, drills, and endmills • Conduct PM's on tool work-holding, change when needed • Perform model changes • Conduct initial troubleshooting of production issues and repair if capable. Maintain uninterrupted product flow through the line. • Take direction from and collaborate with leadership to mitigate downtime • Actively participate in GEMBA walks (whiteboards) • Direct hourly employees working within the area • Perform machine coordinator and gage operator duties as needed • Actively engage and participate in 5S and Kaizen events and help identify improvement opportunities REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS: • Minimum of 6 months experience in CNC machining or trade schooling • Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Knowledge of basic machining practices • Basic understanding of gaging practices • Strong analytical and technical skills • Ability to perform machine coordinator and gage operator duties • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and hourly workforce • Ability to flex work schedule based on needs of operation • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
