Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Rough Turn Operator (CNC Machinist) for our operation in Lima, Ohio. The Rough Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls. Applicants for this role must be able to do their training on 1st shift before being transitioned to 2nd or 3rd shift. Starting wage for this position is $22.20/hr., with .50 pr hr increases every 6 months until the established top rate of pay is achieved. Benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required • Previous CNC machining experience or technical training in machining or machining related skills preferred, but not required. • Strong mathematical skills • Ability to interpret and utilize blueprints and sketches • Strong attention to detail • Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Must be able to read a tape measure Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions: • Must be capable of lifting 60-80 lbs • Exposed to seasonal temperature changes • Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration Responsibilities: • Set up and operate lathe and Allen Bradley controller • Inspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specification • Machine forging/roll to specification • Accurately and legibly complete machining production worksheets • Perform other department duties, as assigned Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen Classification: Hourly Benefits: Eligible after 30 days; Includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, and paid holidays Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
