Multiple openings are available for entry level, experienced plastic extrusion operators and all skillsets in between. The Production Operator works on two shifts, 12 hour shifts available, 7:45am to 8pm and 7:45pm to 8am on rotating 2-2-3 schedules. Pay rate will range from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on position and experience, but higher salary requests will be considered for experienced candidates. The overnight schedule will also include a $1.50 shift differential! Responsibilities: • Production Operator responsibilities vary based on level of position • Ensure polymer resin preparation, material modifications, accurate data collection. • Accurately maintain process conditions and all other required paperwork, or records. • Provide support to new product design and process development. • Provide technical assistance for the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory if needed. • Provide trouble-shooting techniques for processing a variety of resins types. • Perform minor mechanical repairs to lab equipment when needed. • Operate lab scale extruders, thermo-formers, etc. Desired Background/Skills: • Must have a high level of initiative with the ability to work independently. • Skilled in customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation. • Ability to effectively analyze, problem solve, determine the best solution, and effectively implement idea (s) using creative thinking and technical knowledge. • Excellent written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well with others in team environment. • Attention to detail and follow-up is important. • Average math and reading skills. • Reliable attendance and a can-do attitude are essential. • Experience working with polymer materials and processes as described above. • HS Diploma or equivalent. • Ability to operate a calculator and scale, read a tape measure in 1/16" increments and micrometers in 1/1000 increments • Ability to obtain and possess a forklift certification desired • Previous manufacturing experience in plastic extrusion will be moved to highest consideration Other Information: Don't miss out on this opportunity to join our hardworking, growing team - apply today!
