Machinist (Second Shift)

Valco Melton is currently seeking a second-shift Machinist to join the machine shop at our headquarters in Cincinnati. Our machine shop handles mostly conventional machining operations that include milling and turning machinery. We do both prototype and production runs that require strong blueprint reading and inspection abilities. An understanding of metal materials and their relationships to the manufacturing of parts will be expected. Working hours for this position will be 3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday-Thursday. Required Qualifications: • 1-3+ years of machining experience. • Technical degree or certificate in machining (preferred). • Experience with lathes (preferred). • Proficiency in working independently and without supervision. • Must be able to lift and carry <50 pounds. Both manual and CNC Machines will be utilized in this position.
