A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CNC MACHINIST - MACHINE OPERATOR As a CNC Machinist - Machine Operator, you are the backbone of our manufacturing company. Your job is to operate the computer numerical control (CNC) machines that create the variety of molds our customers require. Each day, you arrive at your shift ready to perform precision machining. Your tasks include milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, and inspection.
