HVAC Service Technician

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN Job Responsibilities & Requirements HVAC Service Tech for company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts. • Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction • Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units. • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer’s location. • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as need or requested by customers. • Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary. • Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness • Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and complete repairs and maintenance service • Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear. Notifies customer and/or Operations Manager of findings. • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files • Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact. • Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files. • Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources. • Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. • Keeps current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair • Read and interpret product specifications • Provides technical support to customers • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary • Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel, as needed BENEFITS OFFERED: • Medical Insurance • Dental Insurance • Paid Vacations • 401(k) retirement plan with generous company match AxlJYOtnQh

HVAC Service Technician

What this job involves – The HVAC Service Technician will have a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC systems. Individuals are expected to be multi-skilled in all areas (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing) to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments. What is your day to day? • Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components. • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings. • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment. • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations. • Any and other duties and tasks assigned. Physical Work Requirements & Conditions • Lifting up to 80 lbs. • Working from heights. • Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead. • Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot). • Driving for long periods of time. • Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs. • Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet. • Must be available for 24x7 on-call rotation Desired experience and technical skills Required • High School diploma or GED equivalent, technical training or degree. • Universal EPA / CFC license • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications. HVAC Technician

This position requires extensive experience in Commercial HVAC Service especially in light commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, leads by example, and does not compromise on quality. Qualifications and Skills • High School Diploma • Post high school HVAC/R program • 5+ Years of commercial HVAC/R service experience • EPA 608 CFC Certification • Other certifications are a plus • Drug Test, Background Check, and Motor Vehicle Report Required Typical Duties: • Diagnose and Repair Commercial HVAC Equipment. Including communicating with customer, service manager, documenting work in our systems, and presenting finished paperwork to customer. • Execute Preventive Maintenance Services. Perform contracted preventive maintenance using electronic checklists for tasking and equipment. Document deficiencies. Present findings and recommendations for repair or replacement to customers. • Replace Equipment. Help with specifying and bidding jobs to replace equipment, and lead replacement team on those jobs. Conduct the startup and train customers on the new equipment.
